Local mechanic?
« on: March 20, 2012, 02:50:05 PM »
I was wondering if anyone knew of any mechanics that work on classic honda's that are located in the southeast area. I was recommended a shop called Phil's Cycle Shop in Waterford. I called and the guy was quite rude, and was the previous time I called as well.

I'd rather not take my bike out to Waterford, just to be treated like crap while giving this guy business.

If anyone has any recommendations for others that will work on my 1972 CB500, I'd really appreciate it.

I was looking to get a diagnosis and possible fix on an oil leak that I have on my engine. I just got the carbs back together and back on the bike Sunday night, and now I'm just waiting for a new battery in the mail. Then I think Dave the Welder is going to give me a hand. He was kind enough to meet up with me at the place my motorcycle is stored at, and give me some pointers and what we can do in the future for it.

don't think you will find anyone better than Phil in Waterford to work on your bike.  I deal with him, and he is a straight shooter, tells you exactly what he knows and feels.  Has helped me without charging with a test ride, and then sold me the parts and gave advice on how to install.  He has 45 yrs. experience at the same location, he must be doing something right!
