Rear Fender Compatibility
« on: January 01, 2011, 08:21:23 PM »
Which motorcycle's rear fender would be compatible with a CB750K4? I will be cutting it in half to use the end part (from rolled edge to mid-way).

It "looks" like the CB550 of the same years (SOHC) is pretty close.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I am no expert but I think they are almost identical apart from minor changes like the wire 'tunnel' and the lack of the cable clip on the 500

Do you not want to cut up yours? (or maybe you don't have one in the first place?).

To acheive the bobbed fender look, one often takes the CB750 fender and slide it forward. No cutting required, just some extra holes and make some spacers. Is that what you're going for?

Yes mc, exactly that. I already had a fender that was bent and had dings. I used to do test and it worked. No I need the real deal and looking for a fender but most I find are either NOS and way too expensive or damaged bad enough so I can't use them. However, there plenty of fenders in better shape for other bikes. And thats why I was asking. I look at some other Honda SOHCs and see what fits.

Ah so. And I can understand trying to find a good used fender may be tough. Good luck.
