longest ride?

What's the longest ride you have taken on a Sohc4? I've only been a day's ride from home on mine but am contemplating taking my 750F1 a couple thousand miles this summer.

On my stock K1, I went Indy to Key West, circled back up the west coast of FL, to Orlando and back down to Ft Lauderdale, where i found a job in a Honda shop. About 2,000 miles in a week.

On a 836: I've gone from Tucson to Indy, that's 3 - 600 mile days. Oh yeah I went back a few days later. About 4000 miles in 10 days.

O a 888: On another occasion I went Indy to Tucson, then home via Denver. About 5000 miles in 3 weeks.

went down to portugal for the gp last year , that was 4000 miles in 10 days  , year before i went to the Czech gp  3500 in 14 days . a wander round the top of italy and the alps home via the top of germany was  5000 miles in 14 days [ including 1400 miles in a 24 hour period which i would not recommend ! ]  spa twice ,chimay a few  times and all the british superbike rounds . to be honest if the bike is in good nick you can go pretty much where you want on one

I have had my CB750F1 for only two years now and 600 miles has been my longest trip with around 250 being the longest single day.
Years ago I took long rides on my SOHC2 XS650.  One totaling 6000 miles which included back to back 600 mile days twice, as well as several 2000-2500 mile trips.  Now at my age I could not do that kind of mileage on that bike.  That's why I got the Honda.  It is so much smoother and I can again put miles under my wheels.  I don't think you will have any big problems and don't feel compelled to put on big miles as some kind of test.  It's supposed to be fun not an endurance test. The first day was always tough and then you get used to it and into the rhythm.  I doubt I will ever be putting 600 mile days back to back again even on the Honda.  I payed my dues putting all those long days in on my XS650. :D

I went for a month, 2 times.. lots of week ones..

Sturgis probably 6 times, on a 754, a few times on another brand..
Dont underestimate yourselves, I could still ride as far or further on a rigid, without any break-in.. after about an 18 year absence.. than some young riders..

..Mainly cuz I still find it fun, and like it so much.
I have been riding the last 2 winters up here in Canada on a 750, missed 10 days or less last winter, and this one may end up around the same...

Around here if you tried that you might be lucky to get 10 days riding in total.  We have had such regular snowfall and lack of sunny days that the roads are never clear and dry and the city side streets have been slick since December.  It would be a deathwish to ride through the winter here.
