busted ribs- damned snowstorm anyway.
« on: March 22, 2006, 05:03:34 AM »
I was clearing the farm of about 14 inches of snow yesterday. Got out of the tractor for a cup of coffee and WHAM! My feet went straight sideways and I lit 100% on my ribcage, back corner. Second time I've busted ribs, man what a sore experiance. Biggest bummer is, I usually do a lot of riding around this time of year, late March/early April after it gets nice and before I have to start in the feilds again in the spring. Was hoping to get my 350f nice and broke in. Oh well, I guess that will come later. Sigh...........

Sorry to hear, I know how painful they can be. Good luck, hope you mend quickly and get to ride ASAP.

You mean people get hurt when NOT on motorcycles!?!

I would have never thought that! :)

I hope you're well soon.

I'd sure appreciate that. Riding vicariously is better than not at all! Oh.. BTW, where are we going on the trip?

boulder, colorado to baja, mexico... no, the little 350 will not be my ride of choice for this monster of a ride... i'll be taking the kawi zx7r

i know call me crazy for taking an aggressively styled rocket on a 4,000 mile trip but, when the girlfriend said "let's take the bikes to baja"... how could i refuse?

feel better soon.

Sorry to hear about the ribs. Done it a number of times water skiing and other dumb stuff :'(

Stay away from people with colds. Coughing or sneezing with busted ribs is the last thing you want :'( :'( :'(

Sorry to hear about the ribs.  Just don't cough, laugh, sneeze, move quickly or breath and you should be okay.

Why were you riding your Harley D. in the snow anyway?

We've got a couple of nice days before it rains again here in Sacramento and I was planning to ride on both of them (Wed & Thur) but Tuesday my back went out on me and ... it'll be a couple of weeks before I can think about the trusty (well, almost trusty) steed and bomb around. Grumble grumble grumble.
