Topic: 500 top end onto 550 bottom end

Hi Guys

i have a cafe CB550 that i am racing in sprints in the UK, its recently (last weekend) raced in the Thundersprint in the Classic 500 class, all was well last year as i finished down the field

after a winter fix up i managed to finish 4th on Sunday & now a few grumbles have started as its 550cc not 500cc

the motor needs a top end build so im thinking of giving at a rebuild but if possible putting a 500cc top end on to make it race legal

any help or links to posts would be great, weekend race report to follow

I know there's a few threads on here discussing just that.  I know because I started one of them...I'll take a look, but it certainly can be done.
