Good to have you with us, Nate..........Yes, a calendar and local map is good but also take a look around on the main page for the map and log maintained by Oldschool from Michigan.

I will send your request to get on the master list to Jerry in Denver...............Very Happy to have you on the ride!

A slight change in the route.............Michigan is staying overnight in Copper Harbor on Friday the 29th.........I will meet them on Saturday the 30th in Iron Mountain............Welcome to Michigan Center at noon or so Central Time.  I'll be riding up to Iron Mountain on Saturday AM along Hwy 41 north of Green Bay...........anyone want to join me?  Johnie? Hoodellyhoo?  I will be at Nick's BMW in DePere at 9 AM.

We will return to my home near Cascade via Hwy 42 along the Lake Michigan shore.  I have yet to pick the return route to Green Bay other then Hwy 41.  Maybe get a little west to Hwy 55..........

I will hold to the plan to meet vanzooden on Monday AM unless I hear different...........could be on Sunday?

Is the plan to change the Iowa transport of Godzilla from the Twin Cities to the weekend of the 13th/14th?

Can we come up with dates and locations for Zilla from now up untill August 14th?

I just managed to free up from 3pm on August 5th to 3pm on August 8th. I can meet in central Iowa and ride through Nebraska to South Dakota. If there is anyway we can get the rally to Lincoln, NE on Saturday afternoon August 6th then we will have a welcoming party at the local Classic Motorcycle shop.

Is the plan to change the Iowa transport of Godzilla from the Twin Cities to the weekend of the 13th/14th?

I mention that weekend as a option as it looked like the 6th-7th wasn't working for the Iowa riders.   Now it looks like westondc has the weekend open and with you, nate, and vance also so I guess it will be up to you guys.  I am booked that weekend but do you want to join me for the meetup in the Lake Pepin area on what looks like Tuesday 2nd?

Old Scrambler and skam, Sunday might not work for me. I'm suppose to get a guys CB550 in my shop for a head gasket replacement. If nothing else I could just plan to meet Skam at Fuel Cafe on Monday. I'm not expecting it to be a big job but ya never know.

If we move the dates up we need to check with db22 to make sure he can still make the days work.

I guess just let me know.
I'm planning to be at Rockerbox with my newly finished CB750F3.

That might be cutting it real close its 440 miles Minneapolis to Lincoln, but I think we could work that out. Do you prefer the 6th/7th weekend better than the 13th/14th now?

Skam I went to school at MSOE and lived in the Triangle Fraternity house on the corner of Farewell and Irving. So I too am very familiar with the area. Not as much so as you though.

Twin Cities/Minnesota riders: I can ride as far north as Red Wing, and that's it.  As it is, I may have to find a motel in the Red Wing area if it gets to be too late on Tuesday the 2nd.  If someone could ride south to Wabasha MN to make the handoff, that would work a lot better for me.
Wisconsin riders: Is anyone riding with me north of La Crosse?  Just want to have an idea how far I'll be riding on my own.

I may be goin' to hell in a bucket, but at least I'm enjoyin' the ride. . .

Milwaukee handoff..............its up to the Michigan riders revised schedule for their continued ride around Lake Michigan through Milwaukee.........will know more on Saturday PM - Sunday AM

Take it easy on the road..........2 Michigan riders had slight mishaps on Thursday. One needed his fairing tweeked back to form........the other has road rash and a sprained ankle in addition to minor bike damage. He did not continue and is being picked up to return home.

The lizard is on its way to Copper Harbor, MI and will pass to my bike at Iron Mountain (north of Green Bay) on Saturday noon-ish.

db22, vance, nate and others...........the relay communication and participation is looking much better as the lizard moves your way!

Well I managed to clear my work schedule for the 5th,6th & 7th. I also have a few Nebraska riders that are able to join that weekend. If the 6th & 7th works for the Minnesota riders can we go ahead and make plans for that weekend. I know at least one fellow NE rider is down for ridding with me to meet Minn. riders for the handoff in Iowa. I got a PM from NATE and he was thinking maybe Storm Lake for the handoff. Thoughts?

Nate here:
Idea for Wisconsin riders into Minnesota. Old HWY 16 (runs from Chicago to Seattle) is a great ride. Especially in the bluffs. I'm in Austin, MN (55912). Thinking of meeting at Trimble's Cycle Center. No joke, this is the third oldest Honda motorcycle dealership in the country.
I'm ready to meet Wes at Storm Lake, Iowa on August 5th, Friday. Looks like it will have to be a time after 3. Hopefully not much later than 5 as I need to ride back home for work Saturday morning.

Probably time to start hearing from the South Dakota riders. Looks like Nebraska riders will probably be ready to move IT to SD by Aug 7th if it reaches Omaha/Lincoln by the 6th. If thats too soon for SD riders then IT could probably chill in "The Good Life" until the 12th or 13th. I've PM'ed the following SD/ND riders to give them the heads up

Cafe550
bord0080
kapps
John van Dam
Ckramlic
Skunk Stripe

did i miss anyone?

My personal thought is that one of the best rides in Wisconsin is hwy 33 through Wildcat Mt.
Here is my abosolute favorite ride if I have most of a day to just ride.

But we have to meet people along the way. So I'm planning to just go carve the corners on my way home.

Here is my absolute favorite ride if I have most of a day to just ride
But we have to meet people along the way. So I'm planning to just go carve the corners on my way home.
ZanVooden: Would you like to meet at Wildcat Mountain?  You're absolutely right about Hwy 33, and I'd love to take that route.  Then 33 to LaX, north on 35 to Two Brothers and the Giant Sunfish, and you can ride with me beyond that as long as you care to.
Still not clear where we'll meet the Minnesota boys.  I can stay out overnight if I have to and return home the 3rd, but it would be better if I could make it home late on the 2nd (home is outside of LaX).
The Honda dealer in Austin MN would be a good place to hand off.  I'm completely flexible about a route, but we oughta firm it up soon, so we don't end up waiting on each other 100 miles apart.  My cell is 608-397-2417.
