Odd routing of brake lines?
« on: January 05, 2011, 02:26:47 PM »
This bike is for sale for $5900!!
Nicely done cafe but is there any particular reason the brake line was routed outside of the forks?  Also, these pictures were professionally done.  How do they get the bike to stand up with no side-stand or center stand or was it just photoshopped out?

I'd imagine that routing of the feed pipe would be potentially dangerous as it could become snagged and damaged. A very nice appealing image. Yeh - maybe heez cropped out the stand - but i'd guess that he has none and propped it up temporarily and so cropped out the props.

They probably ran the brake line outside the front forks because the tire looks wider than stock. The bike was probably sitting on the centerstand, or propped up almost vertically on the sidestand with a white or Lucite puck and that was photoshopped out. Standard procedure.
This project started in confusion and will end in disarray.
