Aww dang Bwaller!! and you've been involved with this ride from early on!!  There is some flexibility in the schedule.  Would you be home if the ride passed thru a day or two earlier or later?  It would depend on the QC and ON rider availability of course.

RickRR - Whalli & Larecords are wanting to be at the QC/ON handoff.  Be sure to link with them & Charlevoix to come up with a time and place should it come to pass that BWaller can't lizard-sit GZ for a few days.  There was another Montreal member who could host someone overnight but can't ride, CB750F1mtl maybe??

I swear! of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!!
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

RickRR,

Yes Quebec to Montreal can be done in a day. The idea of stopping at Maurice is just a proposal. If the riders wana push on thru, or camp, there is plenty of time either way.

Any QC riders need to let Charlavoix know their preference as he's the Trail Boss for that segment. And weather could Change things at the last minute too. Just trying to build in some flexibility.

I need to be contacted by the QC and ON gang for the QC/ON Handoff:  we will be at the QC/NB borfer on july 5th for the handoff and we will bring GZ to Quebec City.  After that, contact me to establish the schedule for the ride Quebec City/ON border, we have flexibility for the date, we can wait until someone is available.

This is exciting! I am standing by for the Toronto section. Went for a nice ride today. The bike is working well but my throttle hand gets numb after 1/2 hour. I hope that there will be a few stops for coffee on my part with GZ.

I've only seen Godzilla drink beer (check all the posted photos) so I guess that means he needs to make lots of stops!  Maybe you can get your coffee then, Cookindaddy!

Way to go Operator & Team Canada!!

Me too, I'm excited & ready!  Solved my fuel delivery issues & took Goldie for an 800 km ride this past weekend, ran like a champ, I'm soo happy with that.

Godzilla is now in Canada!! Handoff with the New England guys completed yesterday. Got a chance to meet Tree, Cupcake and Anders. Smallmechanical issues and a border crossing slowed us down a bit but all is well.

Raynald (Charlevoix), I will be leaving around 7am so I will be arriving at the border around 11am. I am not breaking any land speed records....tommorrow Godzilla goes to Quebec

Thank you Jason, we will be at the NB/QC border tomorrow morning to meet you and GZ!

Finally reached RickRR:  il will do the ride from Quebec City to the Ontario border with dvalcourt and maybe other riders.  GZ is scheduled to leave Quebec City early saturday morning towards Montreal.  RickRR will take care of the Montreal-Ontario Border ride and handoff with ON group.

Spoke to Raynald and he said that someone else wanted to do the Qc Mtl ride with Denis and me.
if so, I can do the ride on saturday but I got to be in Mtl for 3 O'clock , so we would leave early on saturday mornings from Denis's house.
if not maybe do the ride on friday to be more relax and leave room for error.
the mtl ontario leg could be on sunday or week after depending on who and when everybody can.

Hey Larecords, what day you picking up GZ from RickRR?  Is that this Sunday the 10th?  How far are you riding, just meeting Straw up Ottawa way or coming down to TO area with him?
Straw, possible handoff dates good for me are July 11 in AM earliest, or maybe Fri July 15 & definitely July 16, what works for you?  Let's try a tentative date then I can plan a meet in Niagara for the next handoff.

Things are moving fast & loose!  And that's OK, but please remember that there are a lot of folks that want a piece of this ride. Be sure to communicate with each other on ride dates, routes & way points. Jason has NB pretty well done and Charlevoix is calling the shots in QC.

Looks like RickRR will ride from QC to MTL and beyond. Larecords and Whalli to meet up with Rick along the way and take GZ on to Ottawa. From there, I'm not real clear how GZ will get to Pickering/Toronto. I think maybe Larecords will be riding to TOR/PIC, is that right?  We need some one (or a few) to pick up the job of organizing things there on the ground in ON. This is all about the riders, so those who are in the saddle should be calling the shots!

There are a number of Michigan riders expecting to pick up GZ in Detroit on Sat 7/23. Is that workable with the Western Ontario riders?

Lets get on it gents!  Don't let this ride pass you by!!

I can make the trek from MI (to as far as Niagara if need be) and back to the States.

It's been several years since I've crossed that border...
I think I need a passport to cross now though ... don't know. ... I should have one anyway.  ;)

Yes, you now need a passport to cross the border.
(GZ has an exemption or maybe diplomatic immunity or he just don't care, don't try & tell a lizard he/she needs to have anything!!).
Tripps said he's coming up from upstate NY to meet me in Niagara & ride on to MI, so you would have some company.  Wohali said she might go on to MI too.

I did a little checking on what a US citizen needs to cross back into the US by land. You need one of:

Passport
Passport card
Enhanced Drivers License
Trusted Traveler Program Card

Passports take a while. To upgrade ur MI license, take ur current license plus official birth certificate plus ur SSN card plus 45 bux to a Sec of State office. I didn't look into the Trusted Traveler card. NY also offers an Enhanced Drivers License.

FYI, the Windsor Tunnel does not allow motorcycles (not even motorcycles with lizards!). The Ambassador Bridge is the only option for a land crossing between Windsor & Detroit. Expect a 30 minute delay to cross.
