Hey Jerry!

Yes, it was AWESOME to meet you and Terry.  Your suggestion to visit the Garden of the Gods was right on too, incredible formations down there!  Delivered the engine to Mark without any trouble.  While I was there, I even got my own personal autograph session when I bought Marks book right from the man himself!  Couldn't have asked for a better SOHC4 day!

Wohali, check out my bags  :-\  I like them and they tuck up quite nicely in front of the rear turn signals as well they are short enough that they clear the exhaust.  I picked them up at the Toronto bike show in the winter.
As far as the handoff for for QC to Ontario, like I said earlier I can pick up the slack from Ottawa to the Brechin area.

Thanks Straw, can you make it all the way to the QC border?  I'm not sure if any of the QC riders will be riding into Ontario and if that's the case, then there would be a gap between the border and Ottawa.

I guess I could make it work, definetly a long haul but it should be fun.

Depending on where it ends up in QC, there is not that much of a gap between Ottawa and say Montreal. Only a couple of hours.

Our plan is to pick GZ at the NB/QC border and ride up to the ON border, for the QC/ON handoff.

Raynald,

Right now it looks like I will be meeting the New England crew on the 2nd of July for the handoff. I am off work for a week so my schedule is pretty flexible. I am just waiting on any other East Coast riders to chime in and see if they want Godzilla for a couple of days.

If anyone knows of any schedule changes, please let me know soonest so we can coord the handoff with Quebec.

Thanks

I say that if the Maritimes don't speak up by the 11th, then we'll need to drop the idea of a NS/PEI/NF loop until next year.  If they wish to join the ride this year, then they'll need to contact you (Jason) to join the NB ride.  Lota downstream riders need to firm up their plans!

Agreed, we'll give it a few more days and see if anyone bites and then I will start the planning of my stage.

things don't look so good for NS this year. I'm on the Southshore around Lunenburg NS, would take 700 km just to meet up with you in Fredericton NB.
have a safe ride...

Yea Haill, doesn't look like the Maritimes are going to work out this year. Hopefully people will want a piece of this next year and a NS, NF & PEI loop will happen!

I have a similar situation in the Michigan route with a rider in Thunder Bay, ON. The ride will pass within just a few hundred KMs of him.  The only thing in his way is the worlds largest fresh water lake!  If only his bike was amphibious!!

Team New England has GZ!  Time to get handoffs, photo ops, overnights and of course DATES in final form!

OK you're right OldSchool, time to firm things up on this mad adventure.

I see Operator is still scheduled for pickup on July 2?  I'm not complaining (yes I am!) but Team NE has 21 days to travel 850 miles & we got 6 days to do 1250?? (1/2 a country!)  You don't wanna kill us right?  Don't know about the rest of you Canucks, but I'm OLDER than my bike!

Enough #$%*in, let's do it.  I'm still picking up around Lake Simcoe, back to Pickering & on to Niagara next day.  Hoping it's July 8/9 or 9/10 (15/16 or 16/17 works too!) but will try & work with what the upstream team members give me, even if my boss don't like it!

Shall I lay out a route with photo ops for my portion?  Anybody welcome to chip in with suggestions to accomodate your needs.
I have a youngster buddy with a 'Saki wants to ride along, no prob, right? ('Zilla with me on the SOHC4, natch).  Who's taking it on to Port Stanley & MI?

LOL Brooze!! Well, if y'all WANA ride on consecutive days, that's up to y'all.  You have plenty of time if you would rather take it slow maybe add some overnights or some hold days.  The days don't have to be ridden back to back unless that's how you wana do it.

Yes, the current plan is for Jason to pick up GZ from team New England on the 2nd.  On the Michigan side, I'm hoping to pick him up in Detroit on the 16th or the 23rd.  He is due in Wisconsin on the 30th.

Laracords, congrats on the new addition to your family!  I'm sure Straw would welcome a riding buddy, be you on a SOHC4 or other.  Have you posted ur carb issues in the main forum?  Keep in contact with Charlavoix as to a handoff date.

RickRR, Be sure to contact Charlavoix (Raynald) for final dates and routes.  He's is heading up the QC ride.

Hi guys. My focus has been to get my race bike sorted which included "borrowing" the ignition pick up plate off my 750 to replace the failed unit on the other one. I'm going to have to bow out. It would have been fun to meet up and ride along.

I still have a large house and at least four beds available for an overnight option. We're in Franklin Centre (in Quebec near NY state border) which is an hour southwest of Montreal. Maybe a bit off the beaten path but quiet and anyone is welcome.

IDK if anyone else is riding from Niagara Falls to Detroit, but I am willing to bring him into Michigan, after a day or two in Windsor, I may head to Northern Michigan to visit a friend, I could bring him beyond Detroit, if needed.

I think Wohali  from TO mentioned going on to MI, but we still seem to hsave a pretty fluid schedule up here, should come together pretty soon (I hope!).  You're in upstate NY, right Tripps?

OK Gents!

We know that GZ will be on Canadian soil on 7/2 or 3, that there will be a couple Yanks hanging with Jason that night.  We also know that there won't be a NS/NF/PEI loop this year  :(

What we need to figure out next is when will Jason hand over GZ to Raynald?  Will Raynald hold GZ in Quebec City at all?  Will Team QC ride straight thru to Bwaller's or maybe take an extra day to camp at Maurice Park?  Will any QC riders continue on into ON?

We have a little time, but not too much.  It would be most excellent if the Detroit handoff happened on Saturday, 7/23.  It's Canada's turn!  Make the ride everything you hope it will be!!
