Can someone PM me please about schedule from Pickering through Detroit? Bessie is probably ready to go if I don't push her too hard...would be best if I had a riding partner for most of it in case of disaster. Still burning a bit of oil and not finding fifth, but otherwise solid as a rock.

I'm looking for a Niagara Falls date, I will ride from there to Detroit, also. Not much of a mechanic, but could get you somewhere in the event of a breakdown, anyway.

Hey Wohali & Tripps

I'm waiting to pick up the lizard anytime after Thurs the 14th.  It depends on when Larecords & Strawhouse get him over to the Brechin area from Ottawa for the hand off.  I'm hoping for 15, 16 or 17.  Between us, Cookindaddy & David750F we can decide what day to meet up with Tripps in Niagara so you guys can continue on to MI.  We need to plan a route (off the 401?) with stops downtown TO  & anywhere else you can think of or want to do.

I would say the later  the better, I need to work the week of the 11-15, possibly the 16th, I want to visit a day or 2 with friends in Windsor, but I can't hang there til the 23rd if I get there the 17 or 18th, or don't want to/have that much spare time, anyway. Not sure where Brechin is, or how long from there to Niagara Falls, 19th, 20th, or 21st at Falls would be ideal for me. Even the 22nd or 23rd, I could cross and hand off, cross back to Windsor for a day or 2.  Going to meet another friend in Hell the 24, 25, or 26th and camp with her, not sure how much Michigan leg I can fit in, but like to do some.

I just need to hear from Larecords when he will be heading to Algonquin Park.  The 16th for meeting up in Brechin would be best for me but it depends if Larecords can meet up then.

Ish I could help boys! But I don't have a SOHC at the moment....

I was unsure myself if I could accompany the ride on my non SOHC 4 until the last minute arrived, but it turned out to be a non issue. I just couldn't carry the Lizzard.  In Team New England I rode my 92 Nighthawk, Cupcake's lovely neighbor rode Her early 750 Shadow and later for the border run Cupcake rode his Interceptor. Not sure what other regions had other bikes along, but GZ only gets rides on SOHC4's.

In case anybody was wondering like I was.

Good luck Gentelmen and Ladies.  8)  Pack large band-aids in case GZ takes a bite of anyone....

Edit, we also had 2 HD's along. How could I forget them!

Yes, what Alan said.  All bikes, all brands, all years, all riders are welcome to ride along.  But only a SOHC/4 may carry GZ so as to maintain the unbroken chain of SOHC/4's all the way!

So I have been taking to Larecords and it looks like the 16th is the handoff for Algonquin Park in the morning, at that point I / we will ride south down 35 to Brechin or a meeting spot in that area what works for you guys.  I am familliar with that area but I dont know it extremely well.   So saturday afternoon it is?

Tripps, Brooze72, PM sent. Looks like the 16th may be bad for those of us heading on to Detroit (me, Tripps) from what I see. Other than that I can make time. Will have a new mobile # in a couple of days, let's talk.

Also could use a bit of wrenching help from anyone experienced enough in the Toronto area to help diagnose this burning oil issue.. Let me know.

Any expected date for Niagara Falls yet?

I have another issue for later rather than earlier, a week ago Friday I crashed my 2002 Triumph Sprint St while (stupidly) wearing sneakers. I ground off the tops of my 2 biggest toes, including toenails. I've been riding my Triumph Rocket III Touring since, it has a heel/toe shifter. My Triumph dealer asked me to help with the Demo days, escorting demo riders today, there were a few I wanted to ride. Got on a Daytona for the first ride, holy cow, I never thought of it, I barely made it through the first 15 minute ride, I can't upshift yet with a toe shifter, still way too sore. I finished the day, but on my own bike, pissed I missed trying out the other Triumphs. Should be OK by a week from now, I hope.

Another alternative is I could meet in Niagara Falls on the 16th, then hold Godzilla for 4 or 5 days, then head to Windsor on the 20th or 21st, and meet back up with anyone heading to Windsor in Canada, seems like the 16th isn't good for Wolahi, either. Then I could do the handoff on the 23rd.

Well done riders!!  Loving the pics!  I haven't been in Montreal since the '67 World's Fair which pre-dates even the Olympic Stadium!  I was a wee lad back then.

And well done too to those yet to ride. GREAT communications so far. You are doing exactly what you need to, that being you are making this ride YOUR ride!  Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to meeting the handoff team and riding into Hell (Michigan) with you!

You are doing exactly what you need to, that being you are making this ride YOUR ride!

Thats what this is all about Gentlemen and Ladies, this is your ride, the eyes of the world are upon you. We are reading your experiences and sharing the journey through your posts in this thread. I personally didn't follow GZ's progress since the beginning because of a few personal matters, but I've caught up and I'm following now!

Remember to put off what you can to make your mark on this event, we won't be doing this until....well, the next time we do this I suppose!
Cheers and good riding!
Alan

I wonder if GZ will stop after one RTW trip or if he'll just keep going?
