PS update: just had a phone coversation with Larecords & he sounds stressed, bike's not running.  He's working on some alternative transport, I told him to call Strawhhouse, we'll see if we have to make changes to route or date, stay tuned...

Just talked to Larry and I think we need another sohc4 rider in case his bike does'nt make it on time.
he's got another bike ,so he will be there but it's not a sohc4.
Anybody else in the general ottawa region wants to join in ??
I'm willing to ride further in to ontario with Larry but I got something planed on saturday night in Mtl.

OldSchool, you heard from Strawhouse/Larecords recently?  I saw you posted for possible additional riders on the NE  thread.  I'm willing to change my route/pickup point this weekend to make it happen.  1/2 way to MTL or Ottawa s easily doable for me if necessary.  We've got GTA people, Hondanut & others waiting to meetup & want to know when & where, a bunch want to ride/terrorize downtown TO this Sun, only 3 more days??

Brooze,

No, I haven't heard anything directly.  All I know is what I've read in the open forums.  Have you head from BWaller or CB750F2mtl recently?  I know Bwaller is racing this weekend and CB750F2 couldn't ride either.  Do you know if that has changed at all??

I don't think there are any NE riders in range to help out, but thought I'd give it a shot.

Fingers crossed that Larry's bike get's fixed or a White Knight shows up!!

I could go to Ottawa and get it midweek next week if all else fails, but hopefully someone closer can help out. Do not break the chain, though.

Awesome Tripps!!  That would definitely preserve the chain.  I'm still hoping tho that Larry's bike issues get sorted or some option appears that will save the Toronto weekend!

The Spirit of Godzilla is in us all!!  ;) You guys are great. This is what it's been about the whole Relay - team work. It takes a strong master link to not let a chain break  ;D

Here's to hoping for some luck with larecords' bike. Even if he can't ride the distance perhaps he can log a few miles with GZ. Guess he could even ride #$%* with one of you  ::)

So, for my Toronto area friends, have we thought about where we'll meet up in Niagara Falls? I'm not real familiar with the Canadian side, but if no one else is either, I will look for a spot. I'm thinking an overlook or something, so we can get a Godzilla shot with The Falls in the background.

I spent a weekend there last summer, let me look at some maps & refresh my memory (I mean ask my wife), see what I can come up with.

Looks like we're back on track for this weekend, as you all have seen, Larecords is mobile!  Will post our final Saturday pick up point after talking to him 'n Strawhouse, hopefully tomorrow.  Hondanut, where are you located?  Maybe we can swing the route closer to you to minimize your saddle time a bit?

Hey Toronto dudes & Wohali, a few have expressed interest in meeting up on Sunday to show GZ some sights.  I have a mid afternoon thing going on that day so I would love to start out in the AM.  Can we meet in a central location, eg: Bremner St in front of the CN/Skydome or City Hall, something like that?  Then do a tour to a few spots? Bring tour suggestions & post or PM if you're coming so we can wait for you!

Hey larecords, good luck with the ride.
Are you going to be handing off GZ in Brechin?  That would be Saturday afternoon sometime?
Just making sure I understand the plan.

I'm back!!! ;D  (Had a great time at a cottage up near Huntsville, and just rode back with the wife on the GL1800.)  We live just off hwy #12, south of Sunderland, north of Port Perry, so our route back today took us through Brechin and past the junction of hwy #48 as it swings east from Coboconk.  That means, I know very well the route down from Brechin towards Toronto along hwy #12, which was the original planned route for GZ.  Since I'm just a bit off the hwy #12, if GZ does pass this way I would be more than happy to provide a rest and even a night stop to some of the riders, if needed.

My CB350-F and I really would like to meet GZ and ride some of the rally.  If you can let me know when and where the route is going, and can give some times...we'll sure try to be there. ???

I just talked to Larecords on the phone after I sent him a PM.  He currently is enjoying a Havana with Gonzilla.  (I'd also recommend a nice single malt with that, Larry. ;))  He is planning to ride with escort to Algonquin Park tomorrow where he'll hand the lizard over to Strawhouse sometime in the afternoon (I believe ???).  From there, what is the plan?  I'd like to join on the way down to Toronto, especially if the route swings over and down hwy #12.

After I meet up with Larry at the east gate of Algonquin park near Whitney, I will take 60 east to where it meets up with 35 south.  Im heading down 35 to the intersection of 35 and 48 just north of Coboconk to where Im meeting up with Brooze to do the handoff

And after I meet up with Strawhouse in Coboconk, I'm heading either back west along 48 to 12 at Gamebridge or maybe down 35 a bit then west on 8 to 12 at Beaverton.  From there we head south on 12 back to Pickering.  HondanutRider, Cookindaddy & Buk_tony will be meeting up with me on Hwy 12.

It's a sunny & absolutley beautiful day for riding here in southern Ontario....Woohoo! Today's the day to meet GZ, I 'm pumped!

Just a tiny addition from my conversation with Brooze72 this morning. He's thinking it might be about 4pm this afternoon at Brechin but this will depend on how the ride goes. He thought that the meetup at Brechin might be just a bit south of the town on Hwy 12 exact location TBD.

Ride safe everyone!
