CB750 alternative motor?
« on: January 02, 2011, 06:19:28 PM »
maybe its lack of sleep.  tried google search and yahoo...even looked here..     I know I have seen pictures of a CB750 SOHC with a Kawasaki or a Suzuki motor in it.  Am I hallucinating?

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

I have heard and seen pictures of one of the veryearliest pre-production test Kawi Z1's had honda cb750 bodywork to disguise it.  I'm gonna see if I can find it.

ok after more thought on the subject..........................any related tech articles?  looking to learn more on how.  Is it a direct drop in, or do motor mounts have to be moved, or made?  Obviously have to run pods......my understanding these motors have better set of carbs as well...more responsive.  Definitely paves the way to build a bike.

Not much to go on ... those pictures came from this old thread:

The ebay seller of those modified bikes is: fastbike6667 and he's still active with this current listing:

hey guys....it gets even scarier......................my son just set the Suzy GS1000 bottom end in the cradle of my CB750F...............................................it fits.  Have to move some motor mounts...and a gordon frame kit to get full motor in and out....but it fits...very nicely....will get pics up tonight on photobucket...then here.

You do realise that the Big Suzuki handled better than the Honda.? I would be looking for a cheap GS and doing it up.... ;)
