tearing down a spare cylinder and top end to install in my CB500 this spring.
To my questions:
The pistons I took out have a fair amount of pitting on top. When is this a problem and the piston should be replaced.
Also, as mentioned above I am tearing into a spare motor with the intention of rebuilding the cylinder core and top end, then swap this stuff into my existing. Is this a reasonable approach or is there merit in keeping the cylinders and top end orginal to the bike motor?
