Hi Joey, is there more than one  VHT Gold ..?  How close in person is it to the gold that Honda used on the 1100R engines.?

Mick

Brother Retro Rocket I am not sure how many gold colors VHT makes but I have the part number for the gold I used on that engine and when I get to the shop I will get it for you. I do not have a 1100R but looking at photos of them it appears that the VHT would be a close match to what is on the engine covers.

i like the various engine colours (colors to you) but i still need to know if my simonize silver engine enamel spraypaint will be ok for my head & barrels (cylinders)  It says it is ok up to 300Deg C. i know the exhausts get way above that temp, but do any other engine parts??

Sportvan,

I'd give you an answer to your question, but you use some confusing temperature measurement system that no body on this side of the pond understands (except for the Canadians and every single living soul south of the Rio Grande).

If my head-math is correct your 300 C. works out to a bit over our 600 F., which is a higher temperature than either the often used VHT and Duplicolor (both Sherwin Williams products) advertise as their capability.  So I'd say you're good to go, as the upright apes sometimes say.
