I think wgirvine was kinda "speaking from the heart". Either that or he wrote it soon after he failed to get his jeep started.
Either way he does give some useful advice. My missus is served with the best manners and attention when she takes her car to the local garage, whilst I've stopped going there 'cos I think they're a bunch on rude c**ts. Go figure.
Hey, I feel a new thread coming on.............."do women get better service at your local garage than guys?"

Very good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Funny my girlfiend ( long ago) used to help with stuff.  We did the engine in her truck my car and various other projects.  After marriage she stated "I dont need to do that crap anymore".  So I'm single LOL.
