Will an 81 cb750c top triple tree work on a 72 cb750k?

I'm wondering if I can use a top triple tree from a 81 cb750 custom on my 72 cb750 K2. I am upgrading to a headlight bucket with a built in speedo so I have no need for the tach and speedo mounting on my top triple tree.

Does anyone know if this will work? Thanks!

i'm not too sure but i think the later bikes have a different offset...
