Well, I don't think I'd do all 3 days either. Sunday wraps up fairly early. Might do Friday, Saturday.

I plan to be there but will drive the wagon full of 1977-78 CB750 parts that I may still have left by then.
I'm guessing that Saturday might be the good trading day?
I've never been to the Paris event.

a bit more news:

Just had a scan of the February CVMG Newsletter, and it looks like they are getting the Paris Rally organized.  The following was what was mentioned about the CB750 being the featured bike this year:

Chosen as the featured bike for 2011 is the
Honda CB750 SOHC first marketed in 1969 and
generally regarded as the first “modern” super
bike, so owners of these classics are encouraged to
bring them out and show them off . The
committee’s graphic artist , Holly Varey, has
already designed the rally poster and is working on
the rally T-shirt which, judging by last year ’s
example, should once again be a highly sought
after item. Both the poster and the T-shirt will
feature the CB750.

The newsletter also had info about members being able to pre-register for the rally.

Im still a long way away from finishing mine :) but I will make it even if I have to install pedals. Im just starting on the engine plus I have to look for an exhaust system. I always assumed building up a Jap bike would be similar to my Limey bikes but parts are 5 x more expensive for the Honda!!!  Crazy

Are they way more???? I had no idea, granted, the exhaust for ours are pricey, but they're new.

I find them way more expensive and a lot harder to source, the Limey bikes rely on tons of NOS parts plus there are still lots of small manufacturers pumping out parts like crazy over in the UK.  I assume Honda made 90% of its own parts, welded its frames , stamped out its own fenders and exhausts, made its own headlight shells etc whereas the Limeys had most of that stuff out sourced.
Its a challange but Im hoping to have a nice 71 CB750 when Im done.

I am new to this forum.

I was fortunate to have owned a new 1970 CB750 as a teenager in Toronto. One of my all-time favourite bikes (I currently have a 2010 Goldwing). I put many a Triumph Bonneville, BSA Rocket 3 and Norton Commando in their place on the street and at the Cayuga dragstrip.

I've always wanted to buy another CB750, which I did in November of last year. It is a 1973 K3 with 2100 original miles (it even has the original tires)

Over the winter I have completed a bunch of detailing and parts updating...new rings, valve stems seals, fork seals, repainted the engine cases, and re-polished the
engine/trans bright trim.

I am looking forward to bringing the bike to the Paris rally in June.

See you all there.

Brian (Waterdown, Ontario)

I was at one of the many bike shows in Toronto this weekend and just noticed(duh) the featured bike at the Paris rally this year is the CB750. I am definately in and with a few friends may bring a couple of 750's each. I had to laugh, when I saw the picture of the CB750 on the poster for the rally I said I had one like that and it was great it was the featured bike ,one of the fellows at the vintage club booth made a comment, 'ya their allright if you like riding a wheelbarrow' I was informed apparently his BSA handles much better. I guess there are still a few who aren't fans.  ; ;)

Great, the more the merrier! I have much building left to do, but I think barring any unforseen trouble I should be riding the 750!

I said earlier in the thread that I was going to bring my car full of bike parts. Now my son is going to drive the car with the parts and I will be on my 78 750K.

Is there even a shred of a chance that the ride to CVMG might coincide with Godzilla coming through? That would be a gas.

It could be coming through then, but I think it will be later than this ride. That would be a gas, wouldn't it!  I'm getting totally psyched, that sun is getting warmer!

Not that this has anything to do with the Paris do but a few of us are heading down to the show April 9th at the International Centre, Brian/Tintop will have a bike there and Bob/HondaNut, my buddy Dino Dave and myself also plan to attend. You will be able to recognise us by looking at the three guys who all the chicks are following. We plan to be there Saturday if anyone wants to say hi we can work something out. Maybe you guys can all were funny hats and red noses so we can recognise you ? just a suggestion.
