WHO WANTS A NEW CORBIN SEAT FOR THEIR 750K??
« on: January 14, 2011, 10:15:50 AM »
OK guys, here's the deal.

CORBIN HAS FINISHED THE 750F MODEL SEAT AND NOW WANTS TO DEVELOP THE 750 K MODEL SEAT

I need K model experts to provide some info. When did the seats/mounts change?? Are all the 69-76 the same? Did they change over in 77-78?

Corbin wants BOTH K models but we need to determine the correct time frame. I'm expecting you will get a FREE seat for the loan of your bike. TT has loaned his F for that project and probably would answer any questions you may have. Corbin is located in Hollister, CA and you would need to take your bike there and leave it for a month or two. TT actually trucked his non-runner in. They need the whole bike to model the seat to.

WHO'S IN??

Dude the seats are EXPENSIVE you could sell it when you are done... :o But they are comfortable as all get out on long trips.

If they made it look and feel similar to the GL1000 Gunfighter seat I will be buying one as soon as they come out.

Guess you'll have to take a ride out there on you 750k Andy, so they can fit one up!  Shouldn't be a big deal for you  :D

He will need it for the way back, lol.  His arse must be made of iron.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

No takers? Well then, I can truck my 76 down as soon as I can get a key ( I imagine they need the lock to function)... Got any details Jerry? Or are we waiting to find out when the seat changed?

Hey Domer, I can drop off my 74k if you can't make it for some reason. I won't be riding or working on it for a few months. Let me know.

Domer,

Send Greg@corbin.com an email and let him know when you can get there and which bike you have. Please tell him that I referred you to him. Let me know when you hear back something please.

Yes, we still need to determine which other bikes they will need also but your's can be the first since they have none!

Good work Domer. I think this tells us that now, at the least, someone needs a

FREE (hopefully) Corbin seat for their 77 or 78 CB750K.

All you have to do is drop it off at Corbin and leave it for a couple months. You may even be able to get a loaner bike!

Not the first idea! I'm looking forward to seeing what the new seat looks like for our F's this coming week. I'll post that then get in touch with Greg and see if they have any idea before the bike shows up.
