new from Indiana
« on: January 14, 2011, 06:13:34 PM »
New to the 70s era bikes.  I am possibly picking up a '75 cb750f tomorrow to restore.  I am a sport bike guy at heart but always want to restore a CB.  I currently own a '03 cbr954rr (street and sometimes track) and a '05 cbr600rr (purely track).

Well the bike was a heap....The pic was about 2-3 years old.  The motor was seized and the tank had a hole rusted through it.  Seat and exhaust were missing and the front wheel was bent.  I let this one pass.  I have my one a few more though

Well I got the bike tonight.  It is in pretty good shape considering the kid was trying to do his own restoration but lost interest.  I picked it for $300 with a clear title.  The carbs were off because he was trying to rebuild it.  Here is was she looked like just off the truck

Notice he tried sanding the tank himself and the rattle can black paint job.
