Nice work gents.   Been wanting to vote for nokrome's bike for over a year now.  well done.

All 3 could show up on "Cafe Racer"

Hey Nokrome,  the pics on that link you posted look killer - Is that frame powder coated or paint ?   Shiney copper penny color ?

thanks guys, im honored to be here,
unfortunately i didnt take any "before" pictures of the bike because i was in such a hurry to get started on the tear down, i bought the bike from paulages for $200 siezed up, and parts missing, got it home and had it completely tore down by that evening. that was the start of a two and half year project for me.
now that i think about it my goal during the build was not to really ever "finish" the project, i had a vision of what i wanted and i knew what i needed to do to get there so i set very small goals such as hubs, spokes, rims, shocks, forks, tires, brakes, oil tank, gauge faces, rear sets, etc, etc ,etc, very small steps, eventually i just ran out of stuff to do and i ended up with a finished bike.
i wasnt organized enough to do a proper build thread but i did take a lot of in process pictures which i will dig up and post as i find them.
i posted these links in the nomination thread but ill put them up here too.

     ill post more pics soon,

Maybe Paulages has a pic or two of the "before you got it" pics.  I like before and after pics.  What is crazy is you forget what it really looked like when it started.  You think you do until you see the pic and then say "Damn, I did that?"

woohoo story time. So my bike the story started out last last January I was looking for a Honda I knew that much 750 or even a 550 I had that narrowed down. month after month I would look every couple day on craigslist but nothing that was in the state that I thought was a good deal. Finally June 2010 about a week before my birthday a 550 popped up on craigs list 500 bucks onlything was it was in boxes. So I sent off a couple emails with no responce waited a few more days turned out he did email me they went to my spam folder that I never check. Emailed him back again but he said someone is coming to get it thought to my self "crap missed out" but I left him my number. 20 minutes later he calls said its mine if I could get there in 30 minutes and pick it up. So I jumped in my truck and drove to the guys place. pulled into his under ground and this is what he pulled out from behind his old rusted out VW van.

here is one i got it home in all its boxes

after i painted all my covers

All great bikes this month and all well deserving of being here.  I am holding off on my vote until I see some build threads, I am all about the "do it yourself" builder who turns their own wrenches.

Some see some write ups fellas.

this is one of my favorite pics that i took during the build,
it was probably 1am, i was in the shop by myself and i had just put the motor in with the pipe, tank, bars, seat and rear sets on all at once for the first time and i wanted to try it on for size,
          it felt great!!!
so i set the camera on auto, put it on top of a ladder and took this pic,
i still stare at it sometimes.

btw, im sure most of you know this but if you click on any of the pics that i post they will enlarge

Hi guys i have to say the attention to detail on nokromes bike is amazing and can't really compete in that department although i have put my bike in a few show and shines and won a trophy, which is a good way to spur you on to make your bike better. Here is a pic as i bought it, i will do a build thread when i get more time. The motor was pretty clean when i bought it but everything else pretty much needed cleaning painting or replacing. Anyway regards Don.
