Anyone modified there stock tank? Cafe style

I'm considering cutting knee indentions into the side of my stock 750K8 tank. I saw it done on the show "Cafe Racer". NE1 done this?

Do a search mate, there's plenty of guys here that have done it. Look up member "spikeybike" for one...

Most of the ones done here have been pounded in and bondoed. The cutting, flipping and rewelding is a bit more involved. In either case one wonders why? Its a personal preference thing I guess.

What the heck, I might do it someday.   ;D

Hey Brandon,

Pounding them with hammers is really pretty easy once you get past the shock of taking a hammer to your tank.
Really doesn't take much time at all.  Filler is kinda messy, but easy to use as well.   I was suprised at how little filler
was actually necessary. 

I used hammers like these:







I'm up in Denton if you want to give it a go some time.
