How much should I pay for cylinder work?

I'm going to have my cylinders bored for an 836 cc kit and honed. How much have you guys paid??? Also, is there anything else I should have done to the cylinders? I'm have the head work done right now.

Well I've got my own boring bar mate, so the cost for me is nothing, apart from the beers I have to consume to maintain my core temperature due to my debilitating illness. (alcoholism)  ;D

Most shops around here charge 50+ bucks per cylinder, (about $40.00 US) which is quite fair as most boring machines only cut about 5-10 thousands of an inch per pass, so to remove 4mm (61mm standard bore - 65mm 836CC kit) that's quite a few passes. Cheers, Terry. ;D

I had the cylinders bored on my CB 550. It was $40.00 per cylinder for a .5 millimeter bore. The price generally goes up a bit if your taking off more than a millimeter.

We've been quoted $200 (AUS) for a K7.

40.00 to 50.00 per hole. Remember that the cylinders have to be honed too.

Just had mine done it was $200.00 for the job, but I heard rumor its about 250.00 now something about alot of extra work??? These prices are in the Bay area CA.

200 bucks sounds a bit high for a K7 mate, how about I give you 150 for it?  ;D

$95.00 for all four with a piston purchase. $160.00 with customer supplied pistons,

I was charged 30 euro for honing each of the CB350 twin cylinders. Along with valve and seat refacing, the total went to about 80 euros.
