Cylinder Confirmation

Im living in N,Ireland UK.

Sitting on bike facing forward your left cylinder is your 1st cylinder here in UK,does this also apply in USA ?.

Yes. Sitting in normal riding postion, from the left to the right: 1 2 3 4

Only if you are facing east at sunrise!

And looking at the handlebars.  The intake boots have numbers on them and  stock plug wires

Its just I was watching a video there and the guy was from USA and he kept saying the 4th cylinder and working on the cylinder on the left,thats was his left whilst sitting on the bike.

I think he was on something! He also missed the part about bring down the idle too   But a good effort. Did you happen to notice the restrictors were built into the tubes

Yes noticed the restrictors ok, only reason I brought it to the forums attention was because I got directions on here how to set tappets up,then when I saw that video I thought maybe in USA they number their cylinders from right to left,so I started thinking I done tappets wrong,so panic set in lol.

All machines are numbered the same way.

Airplanes, truck,cars,etc.,.

The numbering is always as if you are standing in back of the machine looking forward.

So on an airplane the engine, (when viewed from the rear) looking forward .
The left engine is #1 and so on just like your CB750.

Left cylinder #1
V-twin 4 cylinder (VF1000R) left front cylinder #1
