'75 CB550 from Montana
« on: January 18, 2011, 06:42:03 PM »
Hey all, I'm doing a build on a '75 cb550.  It's somewhere along the lines of a cafe, but we'll call it a "special" instead.  I'll post up my progress to date in a build thread.  For those on DoTheTon, you may have seen it already..I go by the same user name. Got a '74 cb200 that I'm building as well, and an '81 Yamaha xs400 that I just finished.  I've already learned a massive amount from you guys in the couple months I've been browsing the site, and I'm looking forward to more!
Here she is the day I brought her home - Oct/2010

Ringo, Ringo, Ringo.....  MT, MT, MT !!  ;D

Welcome to the site! AND, just so happens we need Montana riders for the 2011 SOHC/4 Relay Rally Across America, Canada, and Beyond ride that coming up in a state near you later this summer!

If you haven't seen what I'm referring to go to Owners Club Forums then SOHC/4 World Tour.  ;) I'm hoping you will join up for this historic event  ;D Ofreen aka Greg is in Idaho and needs a Montana rider to connect with on the Relay. Please shoot me a PM with your info and tell me you'd like to be added to the rider list  ;)

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks,
Jerry Griffin
Rally Coordinator

Thanks for the welcome, Jerry.  I have been looking into the relay, and would love to be a part of it, but I'm afraid that I have the wrong job to support a motorcycle hobby!  I work for the Forest Service, so ONLY during the summer...  And while I would like to commit to doing a leg, I get called away without any real advance notice.  So it would be irresponsible of me to commit, and then possibly leave y'all hanging.  But I'll gladly ride along with another committed member if I'm able!

Welcome to our insanity Ringo!!  I'm planning on doing the relay, if everything works out,  I'll be cruzin right thru Bozeman. Haven't really got a plan yet but it was looking like I might run thru Yellowstone starting at Livingston..a Forest Service guy might be handy to have along!  ;D  Heck, even if you just run a few miles out of town with us...makes you a part of it...
Again..WELCOME!!
