cb 550 main jet help
« on: January 19, 2011, 11:01:23 PM »
I have a 1974 cb 550k and I was wondering if it has the push in jets or the screw in jets, I really dont wanna take the carbs off to check. They are keihin carbs and say 022A on the side. And also where is a good place to find these jets ?

My '75 CB550 has the same carbs with 100 main jets, push in. I got my replacements from http://www.jetsrus.com/a_jets_by_carburetor_type/jets_keihin_99202-601_main_secondary.html

Yeh, they're push in...and you'll have a hard time removing them 'cause the rubber o-ring adheres to the seat after 30+ years...good luck....I finally went with pod filters so I could remove the carbs to service them easier (don't throw away the airbox, you'll probably want to put it back on after you get the carbs sorted)
