"Novelty" Tail light ? Where to get em
« on: January 17, 2011, 07:22:53 PM »
So I have seen the Jesus tail light. Its like a mold of old Jessie with the thorns and it looks pretty cool. Unfortunately I am a heathen and would like something a little different.

Does anyone know of a source for these? I found a site once that sold the Jesus ones but cant find it. They were also really expensive, so maybe these arent even in production anymore...

that wasnt really what I was looking for but some of those are really cool. And not overpriced like some of the sites I have seen. Thanks a lot.

I have a Jesus taillight:

Got it from Foundry Moto. Their site doesn't show any parts but I have seen a swastika, iron eagle and peace sign as well.
You could try Licks Cycles or Lowbrow Customs. I'll do some more looking around and post anymore sellers I can find.

The last time I saw Jesus in a tail light I had both brakes locked up and thought I was breathing my last.   :'(

Cycle recycle 2 in Indianapolis under chopper parts.  Cat eye, and complete cat face.........what next? The Model A "stop" ones are cool from JC Whitney IMHO.  If you decide not to use the Jesus one, I'll buy it. I would never put it on a bike but it would look good on my altar.

I've done some more searching but haven't come up with anything like the Jesus light. You could call/write Foundry Moto (foundrymoto.com) and ask about what they may still have or be doing.

Places you might want to check would sponsors on magazine websites like Dice, Greasy Kulture and Knucklebuster.

Boards like chopcult and jockyjournal also have classified sections.

Of course, there's always ebay.

I might try making one myself. Will have to hunt down the materials. I have several projects going on and school just started so it may be a while. But a baby cthulhu tail light would be absolutely sick.

You might search "Bates tail lights" on ebay. A few there, if they suit your taste.

There were 2 of 'em on ebay today - don't recall price.

I was checking to see if anyone had vintage Bates Aux tail lights. Have an NOS pair on the 550. The only other I've seen on ebay were in terrible shape.
