Ok, here is what I decided. I am not going to do a full out restore on it. It is in to good of shape to tear it all apart. Keeping it all oringinal, from the paint down to all yellow marks on the bolts. Cleaning it up so on a scale 1 to 10 it will be a solid 7. Just a original clean 30yr old cb750 that runs like a champ with 12k on the clock with the original bill of sale. I have other bikes, so I can take my time with it. This will kind of replace my first car I had and was the second owner. A 67 GTO conv bought in 72, less then 30k miles on it(always set). Sold it about a yr ago.
I removed the pipes and cleaning/polishing them up, touching up the paint on the frame, took lowering shock links off. Having some misc chrome refinished. Removing the HD rear wheel. Replacing a few parts (boots for air cleaner asm and seals). So far everthing in very good shape for its age. Even all the bearings are in great working order, just regreasing them. Got a freind that fixed the pin strips on the tank where it had a couple of spots that were flaking/peeling.
I want to repaint the engine, spots on it where the paint peeled off. Trying to get the right color for it. That is the biggest task.
Thanks for your input. Will post pics as the progress continues
