It Last Ran in 1995, but is complete down to the dead battery, and cracked tires.

I'll be happy to Accept any suggestions, tricks, and or experience in completing this labor of love.

I'll post pics as soon as i can get it into my Man cave.

Oh yeah that stuff is going...i hated it when my dad rode it.

The Honda is actually 1 year older than me, i do most of my custom work on Vintage Beetles, and muscle cars, so i can paint, weld, minor fabrication.

i basically wanna keep the Stock look, and color, with a more of an up to date style, turn signals, brake light etc.

Rebuild, Powder coat, and Polish  ;D

thats the way i like them,if theyre mostly complete it seems a shame to modify them too much,if you get a rough old frame sure go to town and cut it up,it looks like all you have to do to yours is take it entirely apart and reassemble it.

I did the same thing with my dad's '66 305 Superhawk.  Even though it's been 24 years since his passing, every time I open the garage door and see the bike sitting there, it reminds me of when we had the chance to go riding together.

Good luck with the resto.

It looks like you've got a really nice bike to start with. If the factory paint is as good as it looks in the pics it should shine up nicely. I'm doing a similar project in which I'm just taking it all apart, cleaning, replacing rubber bits and bearings as needed, and reassembling. I did however have to find a set of bags for mine and you don't seem to want yours  :D.

I have not seen 2-into-1s like that stock? I guess it was a dealer option with the bags? Very nice pipes...

Yes actually the 2 into 1's are stock, but if you saw them you'd cry. Rust has put sooo many holes in them.
Looks like Mac makes a set.

@Goofaroo, the Pain is original, but the side covers are feeling thier age, I'm seeing Spider cracking around the mount nubs. PM me about the Bags, maybe we can work something out.

@ 72 Yellow, it's pretty much why I'm doing it.

Is that the way those tanks looked?  I though they were the CB500 style that year.  I applaud your effort as well.  Looks all there...  Is the engine frozen?

I've already found a set of bags but somebody here would probably like to have them. I'd give those side covers a good cleaning and polishing. I wouldn't let some minor flaws keep you from styling down the road with factory paint. If you plan to ride the bike, a new paint job will get a few flaws as well.

To be Honest i wouldn't know, as long as i can remember it's always looked like that.

Nope engine still Turns, it was running when it was parked, seems to be missing all the fluid from the clutch reservoir, even the 15 yr old tires still hold air :)
