Front End Swap

I am planning my own replication of IC's front end swap.  I have an 08 GSXR front end on the way.  I was wanting to try a different solution for the wheel and brake disc.  Does anyone know of a place where I can buy a hub that will fit the GSXR or where I can have a custom one made that that will fit?  I would prefer to stay with 40 spokes but will go with anternatives if it makes sense.  I recently saw and episode of Cafe Racer where a custom wire wheel was fitted to a Honda 919, the one that failed and tossed one of the Boz Brothers on the ground.  I have also noticed that if you were willing to live with one disc, the SuperMotard wheels could probably be adapted.  Warp9 makes some awsome wire wheels.

It did't fail THEY failed to tighten the axel nut :D :D

In the same episode they said that the bearing was inadequate for the application and that it had failed causing the wheel to drop on the axle on one side freezing up the wheel.  Then they showed a picture of the failed bearing.  I've tevo'd the series and watched that one about 5 times.  The final comment was that the manufacurer had put a better bearing in for future wheels.

I watched that episode. Durring a shakedown run int the parking lot (before it got handed to the B Bros) the wheel had a shet ton of wobble to it.  I can't imagine not noticing it while riding.  Anyone else see that?

Yeah I saw that too, thing was is that in the after the problem was fixed shots it looked like it was still wobbeling?  I went on the cafe racer website to see if it listed any manufactureres but it did not.  I guess I could contact that shop and see if they could give me the info.

Please let us know how the front end swap goes.  Planning on doing one myself.   

What determined your choice of the 08GSXR ?      Trying to find a front end that is a somewhat easy swap.   Hoping to just find one that I would just have to
have a machine shop press out and re-install the stems.   I've given up on the idea that one (an inverted fork) could be bolted straight on.
