Topic: 78 cb750F headlight question

I searched for this and didn't find the answer so... Can you change just the bulb on a 78 750F, or do you have to change the whole headlamp? I've been looking into getting an HID bulb for my bike, but I'm not finding any. So, would it be better to get a new headlight that I change just the bulb, or is there a good (maybe even cheap) way to upgrade the headlight itself? The stock headlight from Honda is $100! I'd rather put a headlamp on my helmet. If I missed a thread that discusses this please send me the link and forget I wrote this. Thanks

Although I have no experience with this particular vendor other members may be able to chime in. The bulb alone is around $10 (about what I figured) and is the same one you can get at the auto parts store (that's where I got mine anyway). The halogen conversion looks to be about $40.

Thanks for the link. That's way better than what Honda is asking. I still wonder, would I be better off in the long run to replace the whole thing with one that I can replace just the bulb?

Exactly! Thanks. I guess I just spaced out when I was looking for one. Now I've just got to decide if I want to paint the batman emblem on it.
