New Accel Pump Question

I finally solved the first problem the other day by cleaning the check valve in the bowl.  Now tonight I finally installed them again, removed them again and installed them once more.  Now my new question how much travel should the rod have?  It only seems to move about an 1/8 of an inch which isn't enough to move any fuel, is there anyway to adjust the amount of travel it has?  If anyone wants I have a quick cell phone vid of the assembly moving if anyone need to see it.

I found this short description on page 4-11 of the factory service manual (K8/F3).

I must admit that I haven't tried it.

I have a #2 carb open Travis and the rod/diaphragm only moves maybe 1/4 inch before it bottoms-out.
Just a recheck... are both mickey mouse ear holes clear ?, is the 'sump' filling with gas ?, viewed from below , the left hand ear should be clear up into the carb bowl. With the pump mounted to the carb bowl and gas in the bowl when the rod is depressed, fuel should squirt out at the upper check valve just to the right of the rod ( bowl viewed from above ).... I'm sure you know all this already  ;)... but some things to check over..... if gas is present as described, then it's time to test the squirt nozzles in each carb........

Ray, Cookindaddy,

Thanks for the replies.  I found the nozzles do work, as I used a screwdriver to manually work the pump and got them squirting pretty well.  But they wouldn't squirt just using the throttle.  Thanks for the shop manual lead I have it on my computer, but since it wasn't with me I couldn't read it.  Anyway off to the manual to see what it says.

The actual travel of the rod with the throttle is very little compared to what you can do with a screwdriver, but it is enough to pump the fuel if everything is in spec as your manual says.
