Sold Suzuki, Bought Ducati, Keeping Honda
« on: January 24, 2011, 09:59:40 AM »
I recently sold my 1974 Suzuki GT750 that I owned for over twenty years and bought a 1993 Ducati 750 Supersport. The 1976 CB550 will be staying with me for a while longer. I've had only Oriental bikes for forty years (I'm 52), but I have to say the Ducati is without a doubt the most addicting bike I've ever owned.

I had a 96 900SS and I liked it alot.  Fun in the corners and a lovely engine.  I like 4's, but I do like having a twin in the shed.  I KNOW she makes a lovely sound.  Nice bike!

I just sold my 851 to support my cafe habit, nicest sounding bike ever, but I never ride it. I have a feeling I'll regret this later. I still have my 1981 600 Pantah though, that'll never leave. Still have an 81 GS1100 waiting in the wings too.
You know you've achieved perfection in design, not when you have nothing more to add, but when you have nothing left to take away.

Ducatis are superb fun - sold my 888 SP5 10 year sago and regretted it ever after. Took me a few years to find another but now I have one again, I'll never sell even though she only does the odd few miles each year. 750ss is a lovely bike, great handling and nice and light too, good on ya! ;D
