SOLD. A set of MPD manifold With Italian made 40mm Webers for sale. Looks to be in good condition. Askinf $750 for them.

Just a note for the rest of you, this member (Jan Tveten aka Jadahonda) sold me these webers on January 1st.  He then returned the money and sold them to another member for more.  Pretty lame if you ask me.   

Jan, do you have anything to say about this? Did you indeed make a deal and then break it??

I told him that I made a mistake, and I tried to explain it to him, and I also promised to try to find a solution. What are you using it on. I might have one but it had a few cracks where the hub sides are pinned in.
I have not looked at it for quite a while. I think it is the type you asked about, 3 spokes, thinner in the middle.

What I was going to do is drill a new pattern for the pins, between the old holes, if you follow. I think it may have had larger axle bearings. It had been on a Suzi dragbike with  40more HP than out sohc bikes can usually make.

Yep, sounds like what I am looking for.  The CH3 is the old style 3 spoke and the TT3 is the newer style.  Need a wider rear wheel on my Suzuki roadracer.  Unfortunately if it is cracked I don't think it can be safely repaired.  Thanks for checking.

It is a Suzuki wheel,not sure of width, think it is. 4.00
 Not sure if you are familiar on how they go together. I t has a wrinklewall slick on it,was on a dragbike.
 I would have to dig ut out and have a close look, plenty of meat to redrill it.
Also I think the sprocket can. Be switched to opposite side, then running a rotor. Would put far less force in it than the sorocket side did..
 Different design on those wheels than what we usually see.
 Cant look at it till it stops snowing here anyway..

We're looking for a pretty hot grind, something like the Yoshi motors of the period.
It's for a historic road racer with the 500/4 motor.
We fitted a 650 cam a year ago and while performance improved, the motor needs still more oomph to beat those pesky two-strokes.
Please contact me with cost price and postage.

Peter.....how about a Megacycle 126-20. It is a proven performer. Has to be hardwelded and isn't inexpensive.

I have spoken/texted/emailed with the seller before he listed these.  Never met the man before 3 weeks ago, I haven't met him in person or seen his stuff in person.  He is in Dayton, Ohio.

He seems to be a straight forward guy (though I have shown to be not as good a judge of character as I have thought a few times) who has a bunch of experience with dead stock Honda cbs and other vintage Japanese bikes, with a good bit of buying and selling higher end examples along the way.  Below is what he said the he considers his favorite 70s bike in his collection.  Nice

I've made an effort to help him with a few things, including sending him a copy of the instructions for the RC distributor and I sent him the small RC stickers.  Other than that, I can't personally attest to anything.  I have no skin in this other than the hope they will fall into good hands. 

And no, I had ZERO influence on pricing these.

And for an exorbitant amount of money. Despite that, the only "special" part is the gear, the rest could be fabbed by a half decent machine operator in a couple hours. Its only driving a small rotor up top so it doesn't need to stand a ton of torque.
