Webers can work fine on smaller engines; look closely into the throats and you should see numbers either stamped or cast into the chokes in the area where the diameter starts to close down. On the top of the carbs, there should be DCOE stamped, with a number such as 38, 40, 42, or 45. Chances are yours are 40s. The main jets and idle jets can be accessed under the covers with the wing-nuts.

Yeah they are 40's, 40DC0E2's, and the main jets are as follows: 200 air jets, F11 emulsifiers,and 125 fuel jets. The idle jets are 50F9's. so I would say its good for 1000-1150 right now, without changing them. A person could alway re-jet them up or down of course

The size of the chokes, or in American, venturis is the most important thing with regards to motor size. Those chokes look to be on the small side, like 28s, but it may be the picture. I'm running 30s on my 836, and Bill P is running 29's on his stock 736..

I have for a long time been thinking of building a CR750. I have a sandcast frame and engine that I maybe will use as a base.

looking for an rc 836 piston to complete the set that I bought on ebay might be crazy but I am really hoping to build an engine with these.piston will have the marking ex 2+ 4 and have dome.bare usable piston would be ok.there goes nuthin!bill have rc hp 6450 on inside

76 Seeley kit for sale, "only one for sale" $5000.USD, will entertain real offers, and would prefer to keep in the USA. Chromoly in good shape for age, and no tares in the seat at all. Quarter size splinter in rear fiberglass is the only flaw.

The Reynolds decal on the left side appears to be intact. Is the decal on the right side intact? The reason I mention the decals is I was told by a friend back in '79, who made his own bicycle frame from Reynolds 531, that the only way to get the decals was to buy the tubing. It seems Reynolds was worried about people slapping 531 decals on inferior tubing? The PO of my bike, SH7521, ruined the decal on one side by placing a clamp over it to support the exhaust.
For those that don't speak Seeley, the numbers started with 7500 in 1975. There were 302 made, but only 92 accounted for. SH7523 is the 6th oldest known Seeley. From what I was told, the kit offered for sale cost about $1200 back in the day.
