Very nice  8) thought it was a 550 motor till i saw the six pipes ;)

You actually thought right........the sei is such a close copy of the HONDA 550 that the valves, rockers, points plate, and many other motor parts are interchangeable......to the point that your local HONDA dealer has more parts to keep the motor running than Bennelli ever did!

I remember reading it has a strange manifold, maybe it is 4 carbs into 6 cylinders, or 3 carbs. Yes I think that was it. 3 carbs each Y'd into 2 cylinders.

Two more cylinders ;). Wider engine, less banking in corners :o.

By the way, it looks really good but
i would prefer it with the engine which
belongs to the chassis.

Benelli used a 500 engine to create the Sei (italian for six), they took two engines - and usd the middle pair of pots out of one and grafted them
into the middle of the other engine. All the moving parts are a direct copy of the honda parts.   
In the UK anything over 40 years old only needs insurance and Fuel.
