Do you ever wonder....?
« on: January 27, 2011, 04:46:56 AM »
Do you ever wonder whatever happened after you offered some assistance to a question posed in these forums, but never hear of the outcome or resolution to the question?

I always try to respond to those who have helped me through a dilemma & appreciate a response when I may have been helpful, but I often wonder whatever happened to those guys who never come back with feedback.   ???   :(
Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators.
We haven't met yet.

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

I agree in essence, but not for the same reasons.
A number of times I have tried to pitch in with my 2 pence worth, on a technical question. But due to my inexperience my responses are mostly "seat of the pants" stuff, and I often wonder if my suggestion was ever tried and if so, was it successful.
I don't post responses with the expectation of gratitude. I regard my posts as down payment for all the help I have received on this forum.

Maybe they took your suggestion and met with an unfateful end and didn't get a chance to tell you how you focked them up ;D ;D ;D

ya gotta know its going to happen. you'll be disenchanted with this place if you expect responses every time. :(

But realize, if there were more TAKERS, than GIVERS here, this place wouldnt exist.  ;D

sent this guy some parts for free a few weeks ago. never heard back after the "send them to:" PM.
whatever.  i'll just think of it as another Karma Ticket in my pocket. ;D

For me, it isn't the thank you or feedback but I'd like to know that the situation was remedied.  As a rule most people to post that the problem was  usually with a thank you...Larry
