When Honda introduced their 125 street I thought it was a smart move. Talked to a small dealer friend and he said he had no idea how many to order, ended up buying eight and of those units sold, five were to young new to the sport riders.

This season Honda has introduced a 250 version and I bet it too is met with optimism.

That 400 would have a perfect fit as well. I hope Honda gets enough of a positive vibe to bring that bike to these shores. We need new people buying bikes, and they need new smaller displacement options.

I just spent 4 days on a rented CB400 in Thailand....and a huge bike for the Thai market. Great running little bike although this one had been rented a few to many times.  ::) I think Honda would sell a ton of them here.

Beautiful bikes at 10000 usd....Larry

You know Japanese Yen is so darn strong right now. Would have had competitive price back in 90's... It was like a US buck was 120yen. Now it is 80yen for a buck.

Hi Switchum,
I agree with you.
That CB400superfour tricolour is famous HONDA's color.
We often see tricolour on other HONDA motorcycles like FTR223 and dirtbikes etc.

Meanwhile,I would introduce "SCUDERIA OKUMARA"'s CB.
They are suspension tuning shop and those CB are demonstration bikes.
Their CB are two color with Blue & White, which are very cool.
Please take a look.  http://www.scuderia-okumura.com/html/complete.html

I liked it even better back in the 60's. I was over there, in the Air Force and the rate was: 360 to 1 U.S. Dollar! I bought a nearly new (1yr old) Honda CB72 (250cc) Hawk for about $250. Those were the days. Japanese price was about 1/2 of U.S. price, if I remember right.

Yeah that was when Japan was like China of today. The rate did not even change; it was flat 360 yen.

Nice try to hijack the tread Mr. Ito. Can't say that I like their Blue & White on CB. Blue and White are Suzuki color to me.

I agree a cb400 would be a great starter bike,
but the price has to be low enough for average people to buy it.
Under $3,000 would be nice.
