replacement 750F rear master cylinder pictures added
« on: January 27, 2011, 09:02:39 AM »
I might have  have found one.  After playing with the 1 off my GS1100E Suzy, I determined it to be too large diameter and too long.  Got to snooping, and have aquired one off a 2006 to 2009 gsxr 600 or 750.  All i need is to make one small bracket to mate it to factory mounts, probably use zip tie to hold the reservoir temporarily, it will need small bracket for 1 tiny bolt.

What year bike is it? I searched ebay for months before finding a good used replacement for the super-pitted one on my 77. Always nice to know there are alternatives.
So much to do, so little time.

my bike is a 76 CB750F....and has been sitting for about a year while trying to source a good used one or new.  This one I score off ebay for 9 bucks plus 7 to ship.  It came off a 2006 Suzuki Gsxr600, and the bike had less than 8 miles on it when it got wrecked........heck of a deal.  I will get pics soon...right now its kinda cold out in the barn, and i need to remove rear tire and swing arm to get in and make sure everything is square and plumb....but it is setting in there on the top bolt and the pivot at the bottom.  Incidentally...I have the original rear master...and a spare of a 76 goldwing...both bores are trashed, non rebuildable.

I love this.  I have a 75F that I am doing the cafe thing to and I HATE the rear master.  This looks like the perfect solution.  Please update with photos when you finish up!   ;D
Here today, gone tomorrow.  Make the most of today!

have to take a pic...but it is securely mounted now.  had to make a bushing for the bolt hole in stock bracket.  2 piecs scrap steel for the brackets o mount it...it is bled....and stops the wheel rotation.....which is way more than the old one did.  give me few days for this winter storm to blow thru and i will get new pics.
