I was in an Advance Auto Parts (large chain) store yesterday and walked past the rack of replacement light bulbs.  In the past there have been lots of LED substitutes for common bulbs.  Generally speaking you could have matched up any standard bulb to an LED replacement and if you were willing to spend the money, there it was.  Yesterday, however, there were no LED substitute bulbs on the rack or in fact anywhere else in the store.  One wonders why.

maybe they weren't dot approved and got pulled? I don't antually know that any bulbs need to be dot approved but cheap LED's are usually a letdown  in my experience.Or the manager cant keep on his ordering
