V-Max?
« on: January 30, 2011, 07:46:10 PM »

Anybody here know anything about V-Max's? A friend of mine picked up a '97 a couple of years back knowing that it needed some work. There's definitely something wrong with the tranny and I think that's the only major problem with it. The V-Max has been on my list of bikes I want to own someday list for a while so I'm considering picking it up. He's made me an offer that's almost impossible to refuse and I'm just about ready to do the deal...just looking for some V-Max insight.

Thanks, Mike

Expensive parts mate
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

You might want to check and see what insurance for one of those bad boyz is going to be first.Back in the day it was a deciding factor for some people, your insurance man will probably begin to shake and quiver, and turn a pale white color when you ask for a quote  ;D
