Air Filter holder??
« on: March 28, 2006, 12:48:56 PM »
Okay a boring question:

My bike seems to be missing something that holds the air filter against the hole. I have a 74 CB550, you lift up the seat, take off the tool tray and theres the filter just sitting there. Nothing to unclip to get the filter out, nothing holding it in place. So, my filter sits halfway on/half way off of the hole there. Somone told me im missing a piece that clips onto the filter, or pushes the filter so it sits snug against the hole. Can someone verify that? If so, what does the piece im missing look like? Maybe i can make something similar. Thanks guys.

Mine was missing too when I got my 350f. I just cut a couple strips of wood about 1/2"x1/2" and stuck behind it. Tightened it right up.
