Topic: Slip on exhaust idea's for stock 550 4-1 header??

Anyone have any good ideas on aftermarket exhausts that fit the 550F 4-1 Header?  I have an MSCS exhaust from LoudFastUgly and its really nice but hangs down alittle low through corners.  I've seen some folks here with different exhausts on the 550 header.  Just wondering what else is out there.  All of the universal mufflers I've seen only goto 1.34" head pipes and the 550 is a tad over 2".

You could get someone with a tig to fabricate a short reducer from 2" to whatever size, and use the muffler you like. You might even find an adaptor at a muffler shop. I used some stainless thin wall tubing from a swimming pool ladder, reduced from 2 1/2" to just under 2" and cut and fit several pieces of the ladder to give me lots of ground clearance and run back to a stainless flange I made to bolt up a GSXR muffler. Sorry about the pictures, but the bike is apart right now for paint etc.

Wow, thats great.  Like the tail section too.  What header is that, Mac?

Thanks, I think it's a Mac, I bought it used on e-bay. It has some sort of ceramic coating on the headers. The original megaphone for sure would be way loud and weighed around 1000 pounds! I'm pleased with the way this turned out, has a throaty pitch but isn't too loud at all.
