belated greetings from London
« on: February 06, 2011, 02:21:34 AM »
Turns out I registered a while back but have yet to post - such is the quality of information on here that it's kept me busy :)

I have a CB750 F2 which I'm currently working to strip down the engine and rebuild - turns out the previous owner wasn't a fan of gaskets or torque settings or even using the correct bolts. Which at least explains the poor running of the engine.

I then have another CB750 but this one seems to be a mix of an F2 frames and a K6 engine, which seems to have confused previous owners as they've cut and welded bits on the frame to make it accept K series parts (seat etc..) So that'll get chopped into a hardtail at some point once the other is restored.

I have a lot of spares if anyone needs anything. :)

While it's not a SOHC, I also have an XS750 which I've customised into a cafe racer, a Ducati Monster 695 (which is a SOHC) and um....a CB125 that I'm fixing but then with the other bikes you can understand why this one gets no attention!

Cheers Larry.

(I also blog and try to publish a few things here: http://bikearama.com)

Hi Larry.

Have you been to www.sohc.co.uk?

We have a few F2 owners (and many of the same members!)

Cheers Steve - I'll check that out now, can't believe I missed that one.

Larry - I'll post some photos up - they're in a bit of a sorry state at the moment and it's been a bit too cold to work outdoors on them at the moment for long enough to get stuff done. But rest assured as soon as there's a sunny spell I'll get out there with the camera.
