Will loaded gun Rear-Sets fit with my exhaust?
« on: February 06, 2011, 09:39:16 AM »
Im looking at buying a set of the loaded gun rear-sets, but I don't know if they will fit with my new exhaust. I have '77 cb550k with a hooker 4-1 exhaust that mounts to the passenger peg mount. I planed on mounting the rearsets on the pass. peg mount as well. My questions are has anyone done this? What clearance is needed for the brake peg to travel?

Here are pictures(bad ones) of the exhaust mount.

i was thinking of doing the dame thing before i got my rear sets.

the shifter side i didn't see a problem with them not working.

the brake side i was thinking that i would have to drop the exhaust about a extra inch
so that under heavy braking it wouldn't hit the exhaust.

the toe is what is going to hit the exhaust because it has a strait bracket.

conclusion it should work fine you may need to drop the exhaust on the brake side might as well do it on the shifter side as well to even things out.
