Topic: 77 cb550 compression?

Hello everyone, I am fairly new here but have been reading through some of the older posts and am not finding what I am looking for. I have a 77 cb550 I would like to take it on a ride in May that is about 600 miles and make it home! So far I have rewired the bike cleaned and adjusted the carbs adjusted the valves and changed the oil. I now have the bike running and it does pretty good but is still a bit rough. It has not been out for a good long ride since I have owned,about 6 months. I have a compression issue I am getting in the 130's on the right 2 cylinders a mid 90's on the left 2. I do have a leak that appears to be from the left side which looks and feels like oil but smells like gas and the far left plug is oily. The bike does not smoke but is difficult to start when cold. My initial though was tear the top off and replace the gasket, check cylinders and possibly do rings or rings and pistons. I was told not to until I take it out on a longer ride and try re torquing everything. Any suggestions I am trying to keep this bike a low budget rider as I already have a complete build soaking my wallet.

I thought I would add the carbs have not been properly synced yet. I have ordered the tool and am waiting. I am looking for any suggestions of simple things I may have overlooked before tearing into the motor.

I hate to chime in late with no answer ( I had similar questions but have been able to piece together some semblance of a direction after browsing around for enough hours on here)
But I really have to ask, where did you get that seat???
