A fraction of a second = reasonable doubt..

Call it what you will, its not an accurate method by todays standards.... there are higher accuracy alternatives..

Is it not your right to be able to dispute a ticket? Is there anything wrong with challenging the accuracy of that method in court?

Which is cheaper when you get a speeding ticket, pay it or try to fight it in court.?... unfortunately option A is less costly......... so, your caught by the b#ll$ and 'they' know it.... easy money/ tax collection IMO ( opinion based on Europe, but prolly' valid here also ! ).

Thats a good point Spanner, they should make it free to challenge speeding tickets. I highly doubt that would ever happen but it sure would even things up a bit..... ;)

I've challenged 2 (of several) speeding tickets with good results. Can you not do that?

And it was quite some time ago, so maybe its harder here too. One in AZ, was a 45 in a 30. I proved that section of street was a 35, and got it cut back. In IN, I'm not sure what I was going to say, as i was guilty, but turned out i didn't have to say anything, the LEO didn't showand it was dismissed.

But more importantly, did this thread get hijacked, did everyone get the joke?

And as trivia, do Apaches sound like that?

Of course we can challenge them but it costs you money, i said we should be able to challenge speeding fines for free, because most people can't be bothered,  because as well as costing to fight it they also loose a days pay to go to court.....We still have those hand held speed guns here and they are about as accurate as a bent barrelled gun .....

No quick answer. Here just outside NYC. You plead not guilty and the Cop or Prosecuter will usually cut you a deal for a non points violation. You are fined the same amout as you would be for the speed you were going. Town gets the money, you do not get the Insurance surcharge. They will usually call everyone pleading not guilty into a room, the Cop or Town attorney calls you up one by one and says " Parking on the Sidewalk deal or no deal".

Well I loved the video, but I 'm not sure if Apache helicopters sound like that,
BUT I do know the Black Helicopters trying to find my majahuana patch do sound like that.  ???

It is free. If you lose, however, you might have court costs added to the ticket.
