Topic: Newly upholstered seat

I recently reupholstered a spare seat pan I had.  Now that it's done, I'm wondering if I should protect the edges where the vinyl meets the metal.  If so, what product/material should I use?  Someone suggested splitting some tubing to run around the entire edge... not entirely sure how that would work though.

Or I could just leave it the way it is.

Any thoughts?  Thanks.

No pic on hand.  Nothing special, just a reupholstered stock cb seat pan.  I have a thin layer of material under the vinyl, but was thinking over the top.  Thanks for the door trim suggestion... I'll check that out.

there was a post on here within the last week from a guy that found the perfect chrome trim for the bottom of the seat.

looked real sharp.

I don't think the seat has any protective padding on the inside between the fabric and the metal edge of the seat pan,   I could be wrong though
