I was just wondering where you guys get your rearsets. And are most of them universal?

Websites, photos or advice! I"m lookin for any help here!

I have not purchased from them yet but it seems like www.fastfromthepast.com
has the biggest and best selection of bolt-on rearsets for our old cb's.

everybody ive talked to that has those raask sets never has anything good to say about them, poor fit, poor quality materials, no bushings etc,etc
but heres a nice set

If you call fast from the past have him send you the Tarozzi rear-sets and while your at it spring for the matching fork brace. Really nice quality and decent pricing

Oh god, no.

Having no idea about your bike, fabrication skills, welding experience, budget, etc. it's near impossible to get the kind of help you need. Use the search function and you'll find almost unlimited solutions from reusing other bikes' pegs to new, bolt-on bike specific sets. You can spend $200 or $1,000 . . . people here will help but the more we know, the better we can.

Then there's linkages . . .

Tarozzi rearsets interfere w/ the kickstarter in some applications. The cast aluminum they are made from is very brittle and will break very quickly if you use your kickstart w/o modification. After breaking 2 I finally made one out of billet and it's holding up well. I'm sure the brake lever will break soon. If anyones done a kickstart mod. I'd love to see it. I have a 76 CB750F.

If you look close, you can see where I hit the kickstarter on the brake lever.

The kick starter hits the brake lever on my bike, with Tickle rearsets (the right footpeg folds up, so it's not an issue in my case). I'm going to make some new levers, as well as some new mounting plates. I'm planning on having the part profiles cut from 6061 with a water jet. Any interest in custom made parts?

OK, give me some specs for the triples, and I will get you an idea of how much it would cost to rough them out. Water jet is pretty good, but I would think the critical dimensions should be machined in a secondary operation.

i agree with you nokrome about the raasks ......but i think the quality has changed must have gotten back to them that they were making crap...i have seen a few sets out here that dont even compare to the ones i just oicked up for my 550 from raask torally different quality has gone up still no bushings but there smooth and fit like a glove

I never even thought of a folding brake lever. I'd definitely be interested in one of those and a top crown for my 76 F with inboard mounted pinch bolts to clear my riser clip-ons.

I hadn't really been thinking of a folding brake lever, either. I was planning to move my pegs back, maybe down a bit, to eliminate interference with the brake pedal. I mocked it up, and the more rearward location of the pegs felt more comfortable. I have yet to check for clearance for the brake pedal.

Pegs are knurled and fixed, which I thought was going to be a problem at first, but from what ive heard, the 750 kick starter will clear them, and if not, I'll shape it where it can! These are REALLY nice pieces! I was a little blown back from the price, especially since I already have some rearsets from a early 2000's sport bike. Oh well, those will be for sale instead!!

here's the e-mail I've received from them:

"Please note that the footrest plates can be made to suit your application. They are built with room to adjust the footrest holes higher or lower. You can then trim off the excess to your requirements. The levers in the pics are fully adjustable to suit your foot shape and leverage in 15 degree increments. The toggles are now knurled as shown and these can be adjusted also. The levers are fitted with oilite bushings for lubricating the pivot on the footrests.
For this kit which includes two sets of footpegs and levers, plus two footrest mounting plates all these in 6061-T6 aluminum, plus two sets of footrest bobbins to weld onto your frame as in the pics. For only $225.00USD plus $25USD Shipping. Total $250.00USD.

last one. remember, these are NOT my pictures, they're the ones Denis sent me. so i have no say on my personal opinion on quality. but they look TOP notch! made out of 6061 aluminum!

Those levers look very much like the ones made by Motobits, or vise-versa. I have bought from Motobits before and the prices are also reasonable. You could easily buy the levers and pegs for $150 and make your own plates.

Three things,
-get a shorter kick lever, yours seems a couple inches longer than mine,
-folding rear set peg,
-and our bikes have that handy button on the right handle bar switch.....
