What is this?
« on: March 27, 2006, 06:29:57 PM »
In the process of rebuilding the carburator for my cb750f (1976), I noticed a bunch of white round spacers between the cooling fins of the cylinder case.  There are 6 of them on the left and right side.

Can someone tell me what these little white spacers are?

Thanks.

They are intended to dampen vibrations of the cooling fins.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

hey Bob, isnt he LUCKY that they are still WHITE!!!!
Indeed to dampen vibration.
In my own experience...
It wasn't a Previous Owner who didnt know what he was doing that messed up your bike, it was The Previous owners mate who THOUGHT that HE did.
