Topic: CB550K Header compatibility (77-78 versus 76 and prior)

I have a 78 CB550K that I am going to go with a Jardine 4 into 2 slip on system with. I know that the 77-78 exhaust differs from the 76 and prior with the muffler setup, Would just the header pipes from 76 prior work ?

500/550 pipes fit all models at the head.

footpegs, kickstart lever, kickstand and mounting at the rear are all possible obstacles to proper fitment.
